Eric Boehlert

Eric Boehlert (December 6, 1965 – April 4, 2022)

Eric Boehlert was an American media critic and writer who founded Press Run.

Prior to this he was a senior fellow at Media Matters for America for ten years and a staff writer for Salon for five years.

Before that he wrote about the music industry as a contributing editor to Rolling Stone and as a staff writer at Billboard.

Boehlert died on April 4, 2022, after being struck by a train in Montclair, New Jersey, while cycling.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy Breslin, and two children, Jane and Ben.
