Michael Lee McDaniel (born March 6, 1983)

Michael Lee McDaniel  is an American football coach who is the head coach of the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL).

He previously served as the offensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers, an assistant coach for the Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins, Houston Texans, Denver Broncos

McDaniel was originally born in Aurora, Colorado in 1983.

He graduated from Smoky Hill High School in 2001, choosing to attend Yale University while being a member of the football team and studying history.

McDaniel was hired in 2005 by the Denver Broncos as an intern under head coach Mike Shanahan.

In 2006, McDaniel was hired by the Houston Texans as an offensive assistant under head coach Gary Kubiak.

The Miami Dolphins hired McDaniel as their 13th head coach on February 6, 2022 .
